Beware Aug 25, 2010
By Kara I'm pretty well versed in skin care, and have average skin. I had some mild discolorations from sun exposure and some mild pimples so I decided to give this a whirl having loved the effects of a mild peal at a spa some time ago. I should note I'm only 28 with medium skin tone. Em.. disaster. I rolled applicator tip across my forehead, which gets a lot of sun exposure, and onto one spot on my chin where the pimple had been.
I am now left with a scar-- basically wherever I rolled BHA peel the skin has become very dark and hyper-pigmented, and it's not a "scar" or "scab" i can hope to have come off..rather it's the actual pigmentation of the skin. After initially applying the product i had very little flaking, skin became rather light, then pink like i had suffered frost bite, and then this. I've been trying to cope with the darkness which is not getting any better for THREE WEEKS now. it's a nightmare. Impossible to cover, non of my expensive alpha hydroxy, glycolic, or even pure vitamin e creams have made any difference.

Seems to work Dec 13, 2009

"Holla if u hear me!"
I have used this twice in a two week period and it seems to work. The only thing I can't understand is that not too long after I apply it it dries out and my skin is white as if the product dried on my skin but its not all over my skin mostly my cheek areas. Needless to say it does its job and it does help with blemishes and marks. I have caramel complexion african american skin.

Ruined Skin Apr 29, 2010
By Janey Wilcox Chemical peels are better left to the professionals. I had a few hormonal zits on my chin caused from weening of birth control so I decided to try the roll on treatment in a couple spots only. This is gross, but I had popped a couple of the zits a couple days prior. On those zits, this gel basically created an enormous scar that I had to spend a 1/2 hour every morning trying to cover up in vain with concealer. The awful scar lasted a week and a half and it kept peeling. God that was awful, especially since I'm in sales! I felt like a leaper.
So why did I give this product 3 stars? Well, on the zits that I hadn't popped, the product worked great. I rolled it on the pimple and it got really red which lasted for a couple days. Then it dried it out like crazy. Until all that was left was a little scab that came off in the shower.
So the moral of the story is do not use this product on broken skin and I would only use it on the areas you need it because it is extremely powerful and it will dry up your whole face. I will use it again because overall my acne has improved, but I will use it only when I have a few days off work!
