Great Products! Will Refill! Jan 19, 2012
By shoelover I bought both 1)Lactic 35% & Glycolic 25% Combo Gel Peel (Professional) and 2)HQ+ Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) as I was new to peels and wanted to try them on my sensitive and blemished skin.
I started using only the Lactic 35% & Glycolic 25% Combo Gel Peel once every two weeks to allow my skin to get use to the peel, starting with 3 minutes and increasing to about 7 minutes (depending on individual). Initially, I suffered burns around my nose areas as I didn't know how to adjust the amount. As my skin get used to the peel, I found that it really help me rid my black heads around my nose.
As my skin began to get accustomed to this peel (about 1.5 months later), I began to alternative between this and the stronger HQ+ Gel Peel which I use on my melasma (using spot treatment). This peel was able to reach deep under the skin of some of these spots and after a few days, they begin to peel off like dead skin.
After about nine months alternating both peels, I have had comments that my skin now looks clearer and lighter.
Caution - always moisturize well after each peel. Follow up with hydrating masks the first 1-2 days at the least and sse strong sunscreen after each peel. Good Luck!

Our Little Secret Aug 07, 2011
By Sensual Satine If you've had chemical peels before and know how your skin reacts, this is a lot more convenient and inexpensive.
My skin is not particularly sensitive and I have experienced no after-effects of peeling, sores, etc. No burning at all either.
I cleanse my face, use rubbing alcohol to take off any oils and then apply the liquid. I find the area around my nose is most sensitive, so I will apply last/lighter if at all. I also apply to neck, decolletage & tops of hands (all cleansed & alcohol'd). Keep on approx 10mins (that's ME). Wash off thoroughly. I apply moisturizer for sensitive skin afterwards and deliberately do on a "no makeup day". I am religious about sunscreen - you will feel some sensitivity from sun for a few days. After 3-4 days, I will swtch from gentle cleanser back to stronger glycolic cleanser & moisturizers
I've graduated to stronger pure glycolic peel now - but I have noticed definite evening of skin tone, improvement of fine lines & pores seem tighter. I was doing peels every 2-3 weeks.
One thing to keep in mind. I am not one who gets pimples often, however EVERY time I do a peel, I will get a few on my chin & around my nose. Otherwise, my face is super-smooth and glowy.
I turn 40 later this month. Most people think I'm 33-35. (I had to decline being nominated for "35 Professionals to Watch Under 35".) My dermatologist - who I don't see for "face stuff" says he wouldn't rec'd a single product or procedure in his arsenal.
I don't attribute it all to this, but it's definitely one of my "secrets".

Ineffective Combo Mar 27, 2008
By May I bought 3 items from Skin Laboratory: a) Lactic 35% & Glycolic 25% Combination Acid Gel Peel, b) Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, c) Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel.
I have used each peel for 4 weeks, rest 1 week in between, which is important to avoid sensitivity problem. The result from the combo is the worst. If you have acne, Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel works perfectly. It clears my occasional spots and whiteheads instantly. If you have uneven skin tone, large pores or fine lines, Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel brings about a much more dramatic and noticeable effect.
