easy and effective Sep 21, 2007
By Nathan Devine This product is easy to apply, that alone makes it a good buy. I use it for acne and it seems to keep my pores open and reduce redness from old acne. For the price you should give it a try.

Great Peel - Great Price Jul 30, 2010
By Jane I was born with fair, extremely sensitive skin that rashes or breaks out when I apply almost anything. I cannot tolerate glycolic acid at all. Not even in small doses, let alone peels.
My dermatologist suggested that I try lactic acid as a less irritating alternative to glycolic acid. This 50% lactic acid peel, unfortunately, is still too strong for my face. Developed an itchy rash that took a week to go away. However, I am able to use it on my chest and body skin which is considerably less sensitive. There was very little stinging when I applied it to my chest so I thought I wouldn't get much result but the skin tightened over the next few days and actually peeled a little. I was very happy with this result for an affordable at home peel. I will continue to do weekly peels on my chest and report back after 5 to 6 treatments as that is what is recommended to see noticeable results.
Not crazy about the roll on dispenser as I felt it didn't let enough product out. But I just removed the roller ball and applied the peel with my fingers and it worked great.
Bottom line: great peel for sensitive skin (but perhaps not ultra-sensitive) that works like it claims. Generous amount - enough for 5 to 6 peels of entire chest area so maybe 7 to 8 face peels.
Seller was great too - fast shipping and packaged well.

Light Peel Nov 05, 2009

In the second week of following the treatment plan (twice a week) for stubborn discoloration left by either acne or eczema scarring. I am currently treating just the right side, so hopefully will see more of a progress. This Lactic Acid Gel Peel is light enough for my sensitive skin, despite a slight tingling. The peeling is also very slight, so for starters, a good mild peeling agent.

Not so impressed Nov 05, 2010
By ML5 I bought this lactic acid for my husband who has a small dark spot. Well, he used it 3 times, and he broke out exactly on the spot where he put the product, I am sure it was the lactic acid that made him break out because he was putting it only on that spot and the zit popped ONLY on that spot (he usually doesn't get random zits on his face). Very disappointing, I wish I could contact Skin Laboratory but seems like their "contact page" doesn't work. Well, if you see this review please contact me, I am extremely disappointed by your product and would like to send it back for a refund.
